Anti Social Media is all in all a new, young and fresh contributor to this year's Eurovision Song Contest of Vienna, Austria.
The band consists of 4 young guys: Philip on the vocals, Nikolaj delivering impressive guitar licks, David slapping the bass and Emil hitting the drums. More than 2 million viewers followed the bands victory in The Danish edition of the Eurovision. As a result of the victory the band now represents Denmark in this year's Eurovision in Vienna, Austria.
Anti Social Media was considered one of the viewers' favorites in the Danish Eurovision even though many of the competitors consisted of well-known established artists.
Can you tell us more about your song and your music?
»It's just a simple love song that reminds people of the happy innocent love. The music is 60's-inspired - we hope people like that sound.«
Are you a fan of other songs from this year's Eurovision?
»We like lots of songs, but we are big fans of the Swedish.«
What can you say about all the songs that have been played in the contest?
»We are a big fan of the Danish Eurovision winner Jørgen and Grethe Ingemann with the song "Dansevise". Jørgen also just passed away. He was a great musician and a good person, so that's a huge loss.«
Denmark has a great tradition with three winning songs. What do you believe about your entry's chances?
»Anything. It's just been a huge experience so far, and that were a really grateful for.«
Are you anxious of what place you might take?
»No, we don't use energy on that, only on doing our best.«
Australia is not a European country but enters the competition. Do you have an opinion of that?
»We think it is nice that Australia wants to participate.«
What are the main characteristics of your band?
»Anti Social Media is a pop/rock band inspired by the warm sounds of the 60's. Our mission is to revive the simple and happy spirits of bands such as The Beatles, which leads to an all new combination of the old and the modern.«

Is there a participant that you see as a winner?
»You can never predict what happens in Eurovision - and that's the best thing about it (laugh).«

Worst result was in 2002 (last). Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in Eurovision in 2004, Denmark has qualified for the Grand Final 9 out of 11 times.
