Change in rules for MESC 2018

Last Summer, the PBS, Malta's national broadcaster confirmed that no changes will be made for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2018, said the CEO John Bundy. This means 100% televoting will remain and that the song will not be changed like what happened in 2016 when Ira Losco won win "Chameleon" and was changed to "Walk on Water".

Today, the PBS, Malta's national broadcaster announced a change in the voting system. It will no longer be 100% televoting but 50% of the votes from the jury and 50% from the televoting.

The production team has introduced a theme for this festival which will be #jointhemagic.

MESC 2018 will take place at MFCC, Ta' Qali on the 3rd of February 2018, and the tickets will be soon out for sale.
