Sweden Melodifestivalen: Second chance results

The last four artists for next week's Final of Melodifestivalen 2016 were found in tonight's "Andra Chansen": Panetoz, SaRaha, Boris René and Samir & Viktor. Running order for the Final decided

The Second Chance (Andra Chancen) of Melodifestivalen 2016 was held tonight in Halmstad, choosing the last four finalists for next Saturdays Final in Melodifestivalen 2015. Two songs (3rd and 4th) from each heat (deltävling) qualified to the Second Chance, and the four best of them were selected for the Final: Panetoz, SaRaha, Boris René and Samir & Viktor.

The Second Chance show was hosted by Gina Dirawi with the help from Peter Jöback. Peter is a very well known singer in Sweden. He has been participating in Melodifestivalen twice: 1990 with "En sensation" and in 2010 with "Hollow".

The eight songs were divided into four duels, where the winner from each duel qualified to the final of Melodifestivalen 2016:

Duel 1:
Panetoz – "Håll om mig hårt"
Molly Pettersson Hammar – "Hunger"

Duel 2:
Albin & Mattias Andréasson – "Rik"
Boris René – "Put Your Love on Me"

Duel 3:
Isa – "I Will Wait"
SaRaha – "Kizunguzungu"

Duel 4:
Dolly Style – "Rollercoaster"
Samir & Viktor – "Bada nakna"

The format for Melodifestivalen 2016 is the same as last year:
Each of the 4 heats qualified 2 songs directly to the final
Each of the 4 heats qualified 2 songs to the "second chance"-show
In the "second chance" 4 songs will be selected for the final

Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest



Since 1958 Sweden has participated 55 times in Eurovision Song Contest with great succes. They have won the contest 6 times:

They came last two times (1963 and 1977), and since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004 Sweden managed to qualify for the Grand Final 11 out of 12 times! (only skipped the qualification in 2010).
