HELENA PAPARIZOU

Video: Paparizou & Sergey in duet – You Are The Only One

The 2005-winner Helena Paparizou joined Sergey Lazarev on stage for the Greek MAD Video Music Awards 2016 in Athens with Sergey's song "You Are The Only One"

Eurovision 2005-winner Helena Paparizou was on home soil when the annual MAD Video Music Awards took place in Athens, Greece. She appeared on stage together with Sergey Lazarev from this year's Russian entry (ended third in Eurovision 2016, but first in televoting), and together they sang Lazarev's "You Are The Only One" - without any climbing on walls though.

Poli Genova & Demy - If Love Was a Crime

Eurovision stars at MAD awards 2017

The 13th MAD Video Music Awards was held on 28 June at Athens' Tae Kwon Do Stadium.

Apart from Sergey Lazarev and Paparizou, Bulgaria's Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2011 and 2016) also joined the party singing her ESC-2016 song "If Love Was a Crime" (4th in Eurovision 2016) in a duet with Demy (rumors says Demy will represent Greece at Eurovision 2017). Sakis Rouvas (Greece 2004 and 2009) was also present in the beginning of the show before rushing to the Greek X factor, which he is hosting. He won two awards: "Best Male Modern" and "Best Pop Video". Helena Paparizou won the price for "Best Female Modern". Anna Vissi (Greece 1980, Cyprus 1982 and Greece 2006) was awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her 40 year's on the music stage.

The show will be aired on Greek Alpha TV on 17 July 2016
