Moldova: SunStroke Project wins O melodie pentru Europa 2017
SunStroke Project will represent Moldova at Eurovision 2017 with the song "Hey, Mamma!", after winning O melodie pentru Europa 2017 tonight
Tonight the final of the Moldovan selection for Kyiv 2017: O melodie pentru Europa 2017, organized by Moldovan broadcaster TRM took place. Eight acts competed, and SunStroke Project won with the song "Hey, Mamma!".

O Melodie Pentru Europa 2017
O Melodie Pentru Europa 2017 had three stages:
- 21 January 2017: Live auditions
- 24 February 2017: Semi-final
- 25 February 2017: Final
14 songs competed in the semi-final on 24 February 2017. Here eight acts advanced to the final: Four of these finalists were selected by a jury, and the other four were selected by televoting.
In the final on 25 February 2017 the winner of the eight finalists was decided by 50/50 jury/televoting.
O Melodie Pentru Europa 2017 is organized by the Moldovan broadcaster TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM). All the shows will be broadcasted live on Moldovan TV, Radio and Internet.
Moldova in Eurovision Song Contest
Moldova has participated in Eurovision Song Contest every year since its debut in 2005. Out of the 12 times we have seen Moldova in Eurovision, they manage to qualify for 8 Grand Finals. The last three years they missed the qualification for the Grand Final.
The best result was the debut year in 2005 where the song "Boonika Bate Toba" finished 6th.
