Melodi Grand Prix 2007:
Julie Lund - "Merhaba"

Merhaba

Early in the morning, I went to high school
It was raining, it was dark, but I felt so cool
I saw him sitting right in my chair
I wish it was me with shiny hair

I said, "Hello, where do you come from?
"You must be far, far away from home"
He said, "I was born in the Middle East
"I came here to find freedom and peace"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I'm just a young student boy"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I only want some fun and joy"

Time passed, and I felt so blue
I missed my friends, especially you
Suddenly, one day, I've knocks on my door
It's him saying, "I can wait no more

"Please, habibi, say you will be mine
"I will love you till the end of time
"Without you, girl, I don't have a life
"Say that you will be my wife"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I'm just a young student boy"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I only want some fun and joy"

Selam, yeah, selam, I've been around the world
Looking for my girl, blond hair, blue eyes
Then, I realised I'd better be doing some more
'Cause she is the one that my heart craves for
Say you will be mine until the end of time

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I'm just a young student boy"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I only want some fun and joy"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
"Girl, you don't have to be afraid
"I'm just a young student boy"

"Merhaba, merhaba, merhaba," he said
