The regional jury voted for Marjatta Leppänen with "Iltaisin" but the expert jury wanted Viktor Klimenko with "Aurinko laskee länteen" as the winner. The management of YLE decided a couple of days after the final, that Viktor Klimenko should represent Finland at Eurovision 1965.
