Bridle Road

As the sun sets on the city, I can hear my mama call
"Better get inside, or you won't get to eat at all."
I can see my daddy sleeping, with his collie at his feet, and the mem'ry's bittersweet

It's incredible how easy, little moments take me back
Like I haven't put between us half a million tracks
So I'm sure of my decision, dyna get to where it leads, where I last was really me

Couldn't wait to say I'm leaving home
Couldn't run in place - anymore, I had to roam

So although I'm sure it's diff'rent, am I happy to return, grateful for the lesson learned
