Croatia: Music video for Roko's "The Dream" released

The Croatian song for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv now has an official music video - without angel wings.

Croatia was the only country in the official 2019 Eurovision recap without a video, but now "The Dream" has an official music video as well. In what looks like a abandoned building, Croatian representative Roko Blažević plays a piano, walks around and even lays on the floor. It's a very dramatic music video with fragments of tornadoes, lightning and burning buildings - it looks like Roko 'dreams of love', like he sings in the song.

Wings

Roko won the Croatian national final "Dora" with his half-English, half-Croatian song. The song itself hasn't changed much with the release of the music video. Roko even wears the same outfit of his national final performance. However, there is one thing missing: the wings. What Roko will wear at the Eurovision stage is still unknown. He will perform in the second semi-final, on the 16th of May.

Croatia in Eurovision Song Contest

Croatia 2017: Jacques Houdek - "My Friend"

Croatia has participated in Eurovision Song Contest 24 times since it's debut in 1993. The first victory for Croatia in Eurovision is yet to come. The best result is two 4th places in 1996 (Maja Blagdan - "Sveta Ljubav") and 1999 (Doris Dragovic - "Marija Magdalena").

Since the introduction of Semi-finals in 2004 Croatia qualified for the Grand Final 7 out of 13 times. They withdrew from Eurovision 2014 and 2015 due to financial limitations and poor results at the contest.
