Latvia: Last finalists selected for Supernova 2026

With tonight's second Semi-final now complete, the remaining five acts have been selected to complete the Supernova 2026 Final lineup

Tonight the second of two Semi-finals was held for Latvia's Supernova 2026. The remaining 12 acts took to the stage tonight in hope of impressing voters enough to advance to next week's Final.

After all the acts performed a vote was held. Once the results were revealed, we knew the five acts heading to the Supernova Final. And they are:

  • Miks Galvanovskis
  • Legzdina
  • Atvara
  • Krisy
  • Robert Ox

Supernova 2026 – Semi-final 2

With the 10 acts officially set we have the roster for who will take the stage next week in hopes of leaving with a Supernova victory, and a ticket to Vienna for Eurovision 2026.

The Supernova Final takes place next Saturday (14 February) at Riga Film Studio and will be hosted by Ketija Šēnberga, Lauris Reiniks, and Māra Sleja, just like both Semi-finals. Voting to determine the winner will be split between the public and a jury.

Supernova 2026

Supernova 2026 is Latvia's national selection process to determine their Eurovision 2026 representative. Supernova 2026 will consist of three shows:

  • Semi-final 1: 31 January -- 12 acts performed, five advanced to the Final.
  • Semi-final 2: 7 February -- the last 12 acts perform, five more advance to the Final.
  • Final: 14 February

10 acts will take the stage at the Final on 14 February. The winner will represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna this May.

Latvia 2022: Citi Zēni - "Eat Your Salad"

Latvia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000, and since then, the country has participated every year (25 times). Their best result was in 2002, when Latvia won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "I Wanna" by Marie N.

In the last 16 contests, Latvia finished last in their Semi-finals five times, and has only managed to qualify for the Grand Final four times.
