No Eurovision for Ovidiu Anton
Ovidiu Anton won Selecția Națională 2016, but after the selection, Romania was expelled from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) – and Eurovision – due to unpaid dept.
The drastic decision was because the Romanian broadcaster Televiziunea Română (TVR) didn't pay a debt of 16 million Swiss francs (€14.5 million) to the EBU.
