Winner There was a tie between Oksana Pavlovskaya and Viktoria Vita who each received 50% of the jury's votes.
Eurovision The jury considered that none of the participants was worthy of representing Russia. Later, the Vocal Band was chosen as the representative of Russia, but they did not have the means to sponsor their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995, so at the last moment it was decided to send Philipp Kirkorov.
The national final was recorded on March 19, but aired only on April 30. At the end of the show, it was said that Philipp was one of the participants who could not personally attend the filming, but this statement is refuted by newspapers published the day before the broadcast.
