Polish broadcaster TVP has announced they've internally selected Luna to represent the country at Eurovision 2024 this May in Malmö. The song they'll take the stage with is "The Tower"

After months of speculation and rumors, we now officially know who's going to wave the Polish flag at Eurovision 2024.

Luna has been internally selected by Polish broadcaster TVP to represent Poland this year and will do so with the song "The Tower."

Together with the announcement of Luna, the official music video for "The Tower" was released:

"The Tower" was written by Luna herself, along with Maxwell Cooke and Paul Dixon (Fyfe).

Polish broadcaster TVP chose internally this year. Interested artists and songwriters could send their songs to TVP until 2 February. From among the submitted songs, a competition committee selected the Polish representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö.

Luna

Aleksandra Katarzyna Wielgomas (stage name Luna, born 28 August 1999) is a vocalist and songwriter from Warsaw, Poland, and has already built quite a name for herself in the Polish music industry. Growing up, Luna was already taking an interest in music, such as in 2010 when she was part of the Artos Children Choir performing in operas. Luna can also play the violin and the piano.

2018 is when it all started for her music career after she joined the Kayax label as part of the "My Name is New" project. Under that, she released her first single "On the Hills of Anxiety" on 19 September 2018, with the song gaining radio play across the country.

When 2020 rolled around she collaborated with composer Michał "Fox" Król, with whom she released her self-titled single "Luna," unveiling her new artistic path. On 25 November 2020, Luna went on to release her track titled "Zgaś," a song that included sounds from space, and ended up being on a list of the best Polish songs of 2020. Her following single "Less" was released a few months later on 2 February 2021, which did pretty well and was included on Radio Wawa's Top 13.

Later in 2021, she went on to release her first EP titled "Caught in the Night," which included her song "Fade," ultimately appearing on 14 Spotify New Music Friday playlists around the world. This helped her with her first album release in 2022, "Nocne zmory." It received great appreciation from her homeland and helped establish her as an alternative artist in Poland.

She has stated in interviews that her interest in astrology, philosophy, art, ecology, fashion, and nature have inspired her with her music. Along with that the singer has mentioned that "Luna" is her alter ego who is full of secrets and magic. The pseudonym was adopted from the Latin "Luna," as it means moon, which has a great influence on her life.

Luna had the honor of being the first Polish woman invited to be a part of the Spotify EQUAL campaign.
