Austrian broadcaster ORF has just revealed their artist for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
JJ will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
The song that JJ will sing on the Eurovision stage is titled "Wasted Love" and will be released in March.
JJ and his song was internally selected from a songwriting camp with authors, composers and artists. The camp had only one focus: To write the best song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
The entries were evaluated by 30 music professionals, 30 OGAE members, as well as the ORF Eurovision editorial team.

Johannes Pietsch (23) with the stage name JJ is a countertenor born in Vienna and grew up in Dubai.
He came to fame in 2021, where he participated in the Austrian talent show Starmania, where he made it to the finals. The year before, he participated in The Voice in the United Kingdom.
JJ is currently performing at the Vienna State Opera and is also studying classical music at the Music and Art Private University (MUK) in Vienna.

Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest
Austria has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 56 times since their debut in 1957.

They've won the competion twice: in 1966 (Udo Jürgens - Merci Chérie) and in 2014 (Conchita Wurst - Rise Like a Phoenix). They came in last in the competition eight times (zero points in 1962, 1988, 1991 and 2015).

Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Austria has only qualified for the Grand Final 9 out of 16 times.
