Ukraine: Vidbir 2018 Semi-final 1 results

Tonight Ukraine kicked off their national selection, Vidbir 2018, to find the one to send to Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. Nine contestants fought for three of the tickets to the final

The national selection in Ukraine, Vidbir (Yevrobachennia. Natsionalnyi Vidbir / Євробачення. Національний відбір), started tonight with eight performances live. Three contestants qualified for the final: Laud, The Erised and Vilna selected by 50/50 combination of public televoting and an expert jury.

  • The Erised – "Heroes" (13 points)
  • Vilna – "Forest Song" (12 points)
  • Pur:Pur – "Fire" (12 points)
  • Serhiy Babkin – "Kriz tvoyi ochi" (12 points)
  • Kazka – "Dyva" (9 points)
  • Constantine – "Misto" (9 points)
  • Kozak System – "Mamai" (4 points)
  • The VYO – "Ng'a-Ng'a" (3 points)

Vidbir 2018

Vidbir 2018 will have three shows, held in Palace of Culture "KPI" in Kyiv:

  • 10 February 2018: Semi-final 1
  • 17 February 2018: Semi-final 2
  • 24 February 2018: Final

Televoting combined with the votes from an expert jury will select 6 songs that will qualify to the final of Vidbir 2018. 

The expert jury consists of:

  • Jamala – singer-songwriter, Ukraine 2016 (winner)
  • Andriy Danylko (Verka Serduchka) – comedian, drag artist and singer, Ukraine 2007 (2nd)
  • Eugene Filatov (The Maneken) – singer and producer, creator of group Onuka
