Ferto! Akylas will Sing for Greece at Eurovision 2026
Sing for Greece 2026 was held tonight with 14 finalists fighting for the throne. The Greek representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be Akylas with the song "Ferto"
Greece's national selection Sing for Greece 2026 has just concluded and we now know who will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
After two Greek Semi-finals, it was time for the Final live from Athens. We saw 14 acts perform their songs tonight, all with hopes of going to Vienna. After the performances, the voting started for the Greek public as well as both a Greek and an international jury.
After the votes were counted, Akylas was declared winner of Sing for Greece 2026 and will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song "Ferto".
"Ferto" was written by Akylas Mytilinaios, Orpheus Nonis, Teo Pouzbouris, and Tom Papatanice.
Sing for Greece 2026 – Final
Akylas
Akylas is a young, dynamic artist with an authentic sound and strong stage presence. He became widely known in 2024 with the hit single "Atelié".
A self-made musician from Serres, he studied at the Music School of Serres and enhanced his performance skills through theatre workshops.
After moving to Athens, he stood out through viral covers on TikTok. He has also travelled and performed internationally on cruise ships, shaping a multicultural, contemporary sound with a Greek identity.
Sing for Greece 2026
Sing for Greece 2026 consisted of two Semi-finals with 14 artists in each show. Seven entries from each Semi-final qualified for the Grand Final, and the Semi-final results were decided by public vote only.
In the Final, the winner was decided by a 50% public vote and a 50% jury vote. The jury vote was split equally between an international jury (25%) and a Greek jury (25%). If there was a tie, the public vote would decide the outcome.
Greece in Eurovision
Greece started its Eurovision adventure back in 1974, and has participated in the contest 45 times.
They won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with the song "My Number One," performed by Helena Paparizou. Since that victory, they have been very successful in Eurovision.
Greece has qualified for the Grand Final 18 out of 21 times, only missing the Grand Final in 2016, 2018 and 2023. Since 2004, they have finished in the top ten 12 out of 20 times. They have never finished last in the contest.
