Armenian broadcaster AMPTV has just revealed their artist for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
Simón will represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
The song that Simón will sing on the Eurovision stage has also been released: "Paloma Rumba".
"Paloma Rumba" was written by Lilith Navasardyan, David Tserunyan, Eva Voskanian and Rosa Linn (Armenia 2022).
Simón
Simon Hovhannisyan (Սիմոն Հովհաննիսյան) is an Armenian singer and performer.
He became known to Eurovision fans after competing in Armenia’s national selection Depi Evratesil 2025 with the song "Ay Paparey Bye". He won both the Armenian jury and the international jury vote but finished in second place overall as Parg won and went to Eurovision 2025.
Simón has also performed at the Coba Yerevan, a dinner show and nightclub venue in the Armenian capital where singers and dancers perform live stage shows for guests during dinner.
Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest
Armenia has been in Eurovision since 2006, participating 17 times (all the years except 2012 and 2021), with very good results: 8 out of the 17 times Armenia finished in top-10!
Their best results are two 4th place positions (2008 and 2014), and they have qualified for the Grand Final 14 out of 17 times.
