The Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television, ITV, has selected Elnur Hüseynov to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. He will sing "Hour Of The Wolf".
The song is written by Sandra Bjurman, Nicolas Rebscher, Nicklas Lif and Lina Hansson.
Elnur Hüseynov
Elnur Hüseynov, 28, has been in Eurovision before. Azerbaijan's first participation in Eurovision was back in 2008. Elnur was back then on the stage representing Azerbaijan as part of Elnur & Samir duo with the song "Day After Day". The song finished eighth.
Elnur won the fourth season of "The Voice" in Turkey in February 2015.
Elnur was born in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and in 1999 he moved to Baku, Azerbaijan with his family. He has a degree in dentistry, studied at Asaf Zeynally Music College, and have been working at Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Azerbaijan in Eurovision Song Contest
Azerbaijan has participated seven times in Eurovision Song Contest since it's debut in 2008. They have had great succes in Eurovision, with five Top-5 results out of seven! They won the competition in 2011 (Ell/Nikki - "Running Scared"). Worst result was last year, where Azerbaijan finished 22nd.
