Israel: Noa Kirel's Eurovision 2023 song "Unicorn" is out now

The song Noa Kirel is taking to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, "Unicorn," has been released. Listen to the song here

Israeli pop-sensation Noa Kirel was the first artist to be announced for Eurovision 2023. She was internally selected by Israeli broadcaster KAN back in July 2022 to represent the nation at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. However, Kirel didn't confirm her participation until August.

Earlier this year, the delegation tweeted out the song title. Today, we're finally able to listen to the song. Here is "Unicorn":

The team Noa Kirel worked with on this song are Doron Madali, Yinon Yahel and May Sfadia. Doron Madali is most notably responsible for writing "Toy," Israel's winning entry in 2018 performed by Netta, along with other entries as well.

Noa Kirel will be performing this song in the first Semi-final on 9 May 2023.

Noa Kirel (born Noya Kirel) in an Israeli singer and entertainer born on 10 April 2001 in Ra'anana, Israel.

Kirel has been in the industry since 2015, and has made quite a name for herself in Israel. She has multiple singles that have peaked at number one on the charts, as well as being featured in movies and on television shows. From 2017-2020 she won Best Israeli Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards each year.

Back in February 2020, like most 18-year-olds in Israel, Noa enlisted in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), and months later secured a record deal with Atlantic Records. While enlisted, Kirel served as part of a unique military band. Just two years later, she was honorably discharged after completing the minimum time needed to serve.

She released her first single at the age of 14, "Medabrim," which became a hit in Israel and jump-started her successful career. Noa Kirel currently has over 1.3 million Instagram followers, and a little over 900,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with numerous songs having over 1 million streams.
