Malta 2019: Howard Keith Debono as one of the X Factor Malta judges
First member of X Factor Malta judges revealed. X Factor will be used to select the Maltese representative for Eurovision 2019 in Israel
Howard Keith Debono is officially announced as the first member of X Factor Malta judges. He is a music producer and Earth Garden Festival Organizer. He is known for being Ira Losco's manager for 15 years in the music industry. He has worked with well-known local artists namely as The Rifffs MT, The New Victorians, Airport Impressions and a former Eurovision Maltese artist Chiara who represented Malta in Eurovision three times (1998, 2005 and 2009). He also worked with big international productions like "Lord of the Rings".
Debono is also known for his sincerity and saying it as it is in the music industry.
In an interview with TVM, (Malta's state television station) said that he is very honoured to be one of the jury panel. He states that X Factor Malta is a means by which new hidden talents are discovered.

Malta in Eurovision Song Contest
Malta debuted in Eurovision back in 1971 and has been in the contest 31 times since - without a victory. Best result is two runner-up's in 2002 (Ira Losco - "7th Wonder") and 2005 (Chiara - "Angel"). The worst result is three last places in 1971, 1972 and 2006.
Since the introduction of Semi-finals in 2004 Malta qualified for the Grand Final 8 out of 15 times.
