Belgium: Red Sebastian wins Eurosong 2025 with "Strobe Lights"
We have a winner! All eight artists took the Eurosong stage for Belgium, and once the votes were counted it was official: Red Sebastian with "Strobe Lights" would take the crown
We now know who will be waving the flag for Belgium at Eurovision this May in Basel!
The eight acts competing in Eurosong 2025 performed their songs in hopes of impressing the professional jury and public. Once the votes were in, Red Sebastian was announced as the winner with the song "Strobe Lights."
"Strobe Lights" was written by Ameerah A. Roelants, Billie Bentein, Seppe Herreman, and Willem Vanderstichele.
Red Sebastian will take the Eurovision stage with "Strobe Lights" in Semi-final 1 on 13 May 2025.

Seppe Herreman (25) is a singer-songwriter from Ostend, Belgium.
Already at the age of seven Seppe had started in the music academy, and throughout his childhood he mainly trained his voice and singing technique and learned to play piano. He also enrolled in ballet and tap dance lessons.
In 2013, he reached the finals of the talent show Belgium's Got Talent on Flemish TV – at just 13-years-old.
Seppe Herreman studied at the Conservatory of Ghent for five years in the Vocal Performance program (and received singing lessons from Gustaph), and in 2019 he continued his career as a singer under his alter ego: Red Sebastian.
In 2021 he released his first album "You," and in 2024 he participated in the Flemish talent TV show Sing Again, reaching the finals.
Eurosong 2025
Returning after a year's absence, Eurosong 2025 was the national selection competition Belgium used to select their Eurovision 2025 act.
The songs were presented in two separate showcases, with four in each one. They were performed live in one final show on 1 February 2025.
The Final was held at EMG Studio 7 in Vilvoorde and was hosted by Peter Van de Veire. Voting consisted of a combination split between jury and public voting. each holding 50% power. The winner will represent Belgium at Eurovision in Basel this May.
Belgium in Eurovision
Belgium has participated 65 times in Eurovision since the beginning in 1956.
They won the contest in 1986 (Sandra Kim – J'aime La Vie), but have finished in last place 8 times (two of them with nul points).
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Belgium has qualified for the Grand Final 9 out of 20 times (in 2010 they even came in first in Semi-final 1).
