MALTA

Malta: "Chameleon"...and nine other songs in the running

Maltese entry to be presented in the coming weeks

The Maltese national TV station (PBS) together with Ira Losco and her manager are working day and night in order to reveal the Maltese song for Stockholm. The song should be revealed within the next three weeks.

Ira Losco has recently been recording new songs, as well as a revamped version of the song "Chameleon". As from tomorrow, the selection procedure will kick off, and ten songs are in the running.
The songs will be judged by an international jury from ten different countries, together with various Maltese professionals. The final result will be announced at the end of the process.

We all have one question...which song will represent Malta in Stockholm?

Malta in Eurovision Song Contest

Eurovision 2016 will be Malta's 29th appearance. They are yet to win the contest, with their best result being achieved in 2002 and 2005 when they achieved 2nd place. In 2002, Ira Losco represented Malta with the song "7th Wonder", whilst Chiara represented Malta in 2005 with her song "Angel".

Last year, Malta was represented by Amber, however failed to reach the final. Malta placed 11th in the semifinal. Amber represented Malta with the song "Warrior".
