Nevena Božović

Невена Божовић

Nevena Božović, 24, is a Serbian singer and songwriter. It will not be Nevena's first time on the Eurovision stage, as she has been there almost two times before.

In 2007 she represented Serbia in Junior Eurovision Contest 2007 with the song "Piši mi", finishing 3rd. After that, she participated in the Serbian talent show Prvi glas Srbije in 2013, finishing 2nd.

In 2013 she formed the three-piece girl group Moje 3, together with Mirna Radulović and Sara Jovanović. They won Beovizija 2013, and represented Serbia at Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with the song Ljubav Je Svuda. They finished 11th in the first Semi-final with 46 points.

The group Moje 3 disbanded shortly after Eurovision 2013, and Božović resumed her solo career.

Beovizija selected the Serbian entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2019 during three shows: Two Semi-finals and a Final. All were held in Studio 8 of RTS in Belgrade.

  • 27 February 2019: Semi-final 1
  • 28 February 2019: Semi-final 2
  • 3 March 2019: Final

12 songs competed in each Semi-final. The winner of Beovizija was determined by a jury of music experts (50%), and the Serbian public (50%).

Serbia in Eurovision Song Contest

Serbia has been a part of Eurovision since 2007 except 2014, where they chose not to participate.

The best result was in their debuting year, where Marija Šerifović won the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song Molitva.

This is the second consecutive year that Serbia have used Beovizija as their national selection for Eurovision. Beovizija returned last year for the first time since 2009.

Out of the 11 participations they qualified to the Grand Final 8 times.
