Ukraine: Vidbir 2019 Semi-final 1 results

Ukraine has kicked off the national selection, Vidbir 2019. Three acts out of eight have qualified to the final

The national selection in Ukraine, Vidbir (Yevrobachennia. Natsionalnyi Vidbir / Євробачення. Національний відбір), kicked off tonight with Semi-final 1 and the three contestants who won the ticket to the final are Maruv, Brunettes Shoot Blondes and Yuko. The results were decided by 50/50 combination of public televoting and an expert jury.

  2. Brunettes Shoot Blondes – "Houston" (14 points)
  3. Yuko – "Galyna guliala" (13 points)
  4. Tsesho – "Hate" (11 points)
  5. Bahroma – "Nazavzhdy-Navsegda" (7 points)
  6. Vera Kekelia – "Wow!" (6 points)
  7. Letay – "Myla moya" (5 points)
  8. The Hypnotunez – "Hey" (2 points)

Vidbir 2019

Vidbir 2019 will have three shows, held in Palace of Culture "KPI" in Kyiv:

  • 9 February 2019: Semi-final 1
  • 16 February 2019: Semi-final 2
  • 23 February 2019: Final

The jury is the same as last year:

  • Jamala – singer-songwriter, Ukraine 2016 (winner)
  • Andriy Danylko (Verka Serduchka) – comedian, drag artist and singer, Ukraine 2007 (2nd)
  • Eugene Filatov (The Maneken) – singer and producer, creator of group Onuka
