Serbia & Montenegro: Evropesma 2006
Withdrawal from Eurovision 2006
Serbia & Montenegro withdrew from Eurovision Song Contest 2006 due to an argument between the Serbian broadcaster and the Montenegrin broadcaster during the national final, Evropesma 2006.
The Montenegrin group No Name won Evropesma 2006, thanks to – in particular – the support of jury members from Montenegro. The Serbs did not want to accept that victory and planned to organize a new national final, the outcome of which would be determined entirely by televoting. When the Montenegrins refused, the country decided to withdraw.
Evropjesma 2006 consisted of three shows:
• Montevizija (Montenegrin semi-final)
• Beovizija (Serbian semi-final)
• Evropesma (Final)
