Ukraine: Vidbir 2019
Withdrawal from Eurovision 2019
Maruv won Vidbir 2019 and the ticket to Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, and was sent a contract, requiring her to pay for her trip to Tel Aviv, delay all upcoming appearances and performances in Russia, and not to speak to any journalist without the permission of the broadcaster.
Maruv wouldn't sign the contract, and the Vidbir runner-up Freedom Jazz was chosen instead. They also refused the offer, as well as the third place finisher Kazka.
The Ukrainian broadcaster withdrew from Eurovision 2019.
