The Big-5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) had a draw to determine which half of the Grand Final they'll perform in
The Big-5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) have drawn to determine which half of the Grand Final they'll perform in. The draws were made after the second rehearsals.
Each of the Big-5 countries made a draw for with three possible outcomes:
- First half (running order 2 - 13)
- Second half (running order 14 - 26)
- "Producer's choice" (running order 2 - 26)
Based on the draw, the producers of Eurovision 2024 will decide the running order in the Grand Final. The running order will be decided and announced shortly after Thursday's Semi-final 2 by Swedish producer and broadcaster SVT, and approved by the EBU.
Countries that draw "First half" will be placed among the first 13 songs. "Second half" will be placed among the last 13 songs in the running order. "Producer's choice" countries can be placed anywhere the broadcaster and producer of Eurovision 2024, Swedish broadcaster SVT, decides.
It's already been decided via a draw that the host country Sweden will perform as number 1 in the Grand Final.
After the Semi-finals have finished on Tuesday and Thursday, the qualifiers from the Semi-finals will have a draw to decide which half of the Grand Final they'll participate in.
