Montenegro: Nina Žižić to Eurovision 2025 with "Dobrodošli"

The Montenegrin broadcaster has found the replacement for NeonoeN for Eurovision 2025: It will be Nina Žižić with the song "Dobrodošli"

Montesong was held on 27 November, where 16 songs competed for the victory and the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The band NeonoeN won the Montesong, and was therefore ready to represent Montenegro at Eurovision in Basel.

Just a week after NeonoeN received the trophy on stage in Podgorica they issued a press release: "We are voluntarily withdrawing from participating in Eurovision." The withdrawal came after a video showed a snippet of their song "Clickbait" being performed at the music festival, Festival Kulture Zabjelo, in 2023, and the rules of Eurovision state that songs that have been released or performed publicly before 1 September 2024 cannot compete in Eurovision 2025.

Therefore, Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG had to find a new representative. And the choice fell on Montesong runner-up Nina Žižić with the song "Dobrodošli."

"Dobrodošli" was written by Boris Subotić and Violeta Mihajlovska.

Nina Žižić finished 2nd at Montesong 2024, just 1 point behind NeonoeN. Antonela Martinović from the RTCG Press Team says:

– I am sure that Nina Žižić will present us in the best light in Switzerland. RTCG will do everything to support the promotion of music and our country, and all that remains for us is to join the call of the band NeonoeN and all together support Nina and Montenegro at Eurovision.
