North Macedonia: Here's the lineup for Za Evrosong 2022

Six songs will be competing for a chance of representing North Macedonia at Eurovision 2022. The songs will be released on 28 January

North Macedonia will also have its own national selection for Eurovision 2022. The country's public broadcaster (MRT) has revealed the lineup of Za Evrosong 2022 consisting of six songs and details on how the selection will work.

According with MRT, 47 submissions were received and sized down to six by a professional jury.

The six songs will be made public on 28 January and the winner decided by an online voting as well as by an international jury panel, each accounting for 50% of the decision. The voting process begins on the same date and ends on 4 February.

North Macedonia first appeared in Eurovision Song Contest 1998 and has been participating 20 times, until 2018 as FYR Macedonia (Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia).

North Macedonia hasn't had the greatest results in Eurovision. The best result was in 2019, where Tamara Todevska won the jury voting, and finished 7th overall with the song "Proud". They never came last, but only managed to qualify for the Grand Final 6 times out of 17 since the introductions of semi-finals in 2004. The last 13 years they have only qualified for the Grand Final two times.
