Switzerland: Veronica Fusaro's song for Eurovision 2026 released: "Alice"
Veronica Fusaro is officially taking the Eurovision 2026 stage in Vienna with "Alice" after being internally selected. The song is now available to listen to
Back in January, Swiss Broadcaster SRG SSR revealed that they are sending Veronica Fusaro to wave the Swiss flag in Vienna this May.
With almost all the other songs known already, Switzerland has now officially joined the list. Veronica Fusaro will be singing "Alice" at Eurovision 2026, and it is now available to listen to.
"Alice" is a brand-new version of a song which appears on Veronica's most recent album, Looking For Connection.
"Alice" was written by Veronica Fusaro and Charlie McClean.
The song was selected out of the 493 songs submitted for the internal selection to determine the Swiss representative. Once advancing through all the multi-stage processes, the song was selected after a 50/50 split between an international public vote and a professional jury.
The artistic direction of this song will be held by Fredrik "Benke" Rydman, who has staged some notable acts in modern ESC: "Heroes" (Sweden 2015), "Cha Cha Cha" (Finland 2023), and "The Code" (Switzerland 2024).
Switzerland has been present in the Grand Final each year ESC has been held since 2019. Veronica Fusaro looks to continue the streak by advancing from Semi-final 2 on 14 May.

Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest
Switzerland has been a part of the Eurovision Song Contest 65 times since the beginning in 1956 - in Switzerland. And the winner of the very first Eurovision Song Contest was... Lys Assia from Switzerland with the song "Refrain."
Switzerland won the 1988 contest with a then-unknown girl, Céline Dion, with the song "Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi" (only ONE point in front of number two, the United Kingdom). A star was born!
Their latest victory was in Eurovision 2024 where Nemo won with "The Code".
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Switzerland has only managed to qualify for the Grand Final in 10 out of 21 tries. Switzerland is a proud member of "Club Null," with four contests without any points.
