After so many attempts trying to represent Latvia in Eurovision, Samanta Tīna finally got the honour last year when she won the Latvian selection Supernova 2020 with the song "Still Breathing". Sadly enough, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled and Samanta was back at zero.
It was during a special program aired in May 2020 – Eirovīzija 2020: Studijā Samanta Tīna – that the Latvian broadcaster invited her back for Eurovision 2021. She didn't hesitate.
Determined to bring her A game to the competition, the Latvian star spent part of last year in a writing camp searching for the perfect Eurovision entry.
Out of 11 potential songs, The Moon Is Rising was the chosen one and it has just been released:
"The Moon Is Rising" is written by Samanta Tīna herself along with Aminata Savadogo (Latvia 2015) and SKVR (Oskars Uhaņs).
