Ukraine: First nine artists for Vidbir 2026 announced

Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC has revealed the first nine of the 10 acts for Vidbir 2026. Vidbir 2026 will be used to select the Ukrainian artist and song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.

Vidbir 2026 takes place in February.

10th finalist: Online voting

The longlist of 15 artists was revealed in November. They've performed their songs in closed auditions where nine were selected to compete in the Vidbir Final.

One more finalist will be selected through online voting among the artists who didn't make it out of the auditions:

• Anstay
• Karyotype
• Khayat
• Mon Fia
• OKS
• Marta Adamchuk

The 10th finalist will be announced on 15 January 2026.

Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest

Ukraine is one of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Out of 20 appearances, Ukraine has:

• Three victories:
  • 2022 (Kalush Orchestra: "Stefania")
  • 2016 (Jamala: "1944")
  • 2004 (Ruslana: "Wild Dances")
• Two 2nd place finishes: 2007 and 2008
• Qualified for the final: 19 out of 19 times!
