Latvia: 10 acts advance to Supernova 2024 Final
10 of the 15 acts who took the Semi-final stage today will be advancing to the Supernova 2024 Final which will take place 10 February
The search is narrowing down for who will be succeeding Sudden Lights for Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Tonight, 15 hopefuls took the stage for the Supernova Semi-final where 10 acts kept their chances alive and will move onto the Final next week.
Supernova 2024 – Semi-final
Voting to determine who moved on to the Final consisted of a combination of jury and public voting. Like previous years, the show was hosted by Lauris Reiniks (Latvia 2003) and Ketija Šēnberga.
The Final of Supernova 2024 takes place on 10 February, and that's when we'll find out which of the 10 remaining acts will wave Latvia's flag at Eurovision 2024.
Supernova 2024
Supernova is Latvia's national selection contest to choose their representative for Eurovision 2024. Like previous years, two shows will take place:
Semi-Final: 3 February 2024- Final: 10 February 2024
Both shows are hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks. Voting for both shows will be determined by jury and public votes.
Latvia in Eurovision
Latvia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000, and since then, the country has participated every year (23 times). Their best result was in 2002, when Latvia won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "I Wanna" by Marie N.
In the last 14 contests, Latvia finished last in their Semi-finals five times, and has only managed to qualify for the Grand Final two times.
