From the split results one can notice many things. Firstly, Dotter placed 2nd in her heat despite being the hot favorite to win the competition.

Viewership figures for Melodifestivalen 2020 decreased in comparison to the previous year. The decrease was just under 7% and at the same time, the number of votes decreased by 12.5%, which indicates a reduction in engagement. One must keep in mind that while traditional viewership dropped, there was a certain increase in SVT Play.

Once again, the Jury Votes and Televotes in the Final did not agree as Dotter won the Jury Vote whilst The Mamas won the Televote. The last time that his occured was in Melodifestivalen 2017, where Robin Bengtsson won only the July vote since and placed 3rd with the televote.
