Eurovision 2027 will be held in Burgas – Final on 15 May
The host city of the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 will be Burgas in Bulgaria. The arena will be Arena Burgas, and the dates have also been confirmed: 11, 13 and 15 May 2027
Liverpool - Malmö - Basel - Vienna... Burgas!
Bulgarian broadcaster BNT (Balgarska Natsionalna Televizia) and the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) have just revealed that the 71st edition of our beloved contest will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria. The contest will take place in Arena Burgas.
The dates have also been revealed:
- Semi-final 1: 11 May 2027
- Semi-final 2: 13 May 2027
- Grand Final: 15 May 2027
All three live shows will start at 21:00 CEST.
It will be the first time the contest will be held in Bulgaria.
Shortly after Dara's victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Bulgarian broadcaster BNT started the application process for host cities for next year's contest. Four cities applied: Burgas, Plovdiv, Sofia and Varna. Following the first stage of the Host City selection process, Plovdiv and Varna were eliminated from the race, leaving Burgas and Sofia as the two remaining candidates. Burgas was ultimately selected as the host city of Eurovision 2027.
Burgas
Located on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, Burgas is known for its beaches, seafront parks and relaxed coastal atmosphere. Take a stroll through the Sea Garden, the city’s famous waterfront park, or enjoy the cafés and restaurants along the seafront.
Discover Burgas’ maritime charm: As Bulgaria’s fourth-largest city and one of the country’s most important port cities, Burgas combines coastal scenery with a vibrant cultural life, hosting music festivals, cultural events and art exhibitions.
Burgas also offers solid infrastructure, with an international airport, a modern public transport network, and road and rail connections to the rest of Bulgaria.
Arena Burgas
Burgas will host the contest at Arena Burgas.
Arena Burgas is one of Bulgaria’s newest and most modern indoor arenas. With room for up to 15,000 spectators during concerts, it is well suited for hosting an event on the scale of the Eurovision Song Contest. Officially opened in 2023, the arena has already hosted international sporting events, concerts and large live productions.
The arena is located close to Burgas’ city centre and is easily accessible by bus and car. Arena Burgas also features modern facilities and infrastructure, helping ensure smooth operations throughout the contest week.

19 countries have expressed their interest for participation in the contest, which is subject to change:

Canada will participate in Eurovision for the first time.

North Macedonia didn't participate in Eurovision 2026, but will return for Eurovision 2027.
PENDING
18 countries from Eurovision 2026 have not yet announced their participation in Eurovision 2027:
EBU Member Broadcasters, on behalf of their countries, have until mid-October 2026 to formally submit their applications to take part in Eurovision 2027.
Tickets
Tickets usually go out early the same year or late in the year before the contest. We expect the tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 to go on sale late 2026.
The start of ticket sales depends on several factors: Firstly, the host city (Burgas) and arena (Arena Burgas) must be chosen. Secondly, selection of the ticket agency. Thirdly, a floor plan of seats/stands in the arena once stage design, green room, and camera placement have roughly been decided.
