Slovenia: Joker Out's song for Eurovision 2023 – Listen to "Carpe Diem"

Joker Out has officially released the song they'll be performing at Eurovision this May in Liverpool. The song is called Carpe Diem and you can listen to it now, as well as watch the music video

Back in December, Joker Out was internally selected to represent the country after being invited by the country's delegation. Slovenia usually uses EMA, a national competition to determine their representative, but this year decided to take a new route.

Joker Out has made a pretty big name for themselves in Slovenia, winning numerous awards, as well as having their most recent album charting in the top 10 on the Slovenia Apple Music charts. With that, the delegation felt it was the right choice to choose the band for Eurovision 2023 in hopes of starting a new future for Slovenia in the competition.

Slovenia made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, and since then has participated 27 times. They have never won the contest, and the best result for Slovenia is two 7th place finishes in 1995 and 2001.

Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Slovenia has only managed to qualify for the Grand Final 6 times out of 18.
