Sweden Melodifestivalen 2018: Margaret, Renaida, Felix & Méndez to the final
Tonight the Second Chance show of Melodifestivalen 2018 took place in Kristianstad, Sweden. Eight acts fought in four duels, and four artists qualified to the final: Margaret, Renaida, Felix Sandman and Méndez. Lineup for the final is complete
Tonight the fifth show took place in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2018. Eight artists had their second chance (andra chansen) in qualifying for next Saturday's final. The eight songs fought in four duels, where the winner of each duel won a spot in the final.
The Second Chance was held in Kristianstad Arena, Kristianstad. It's the first time Melodifestivalen visits Kristianstad.
Like the previous years the votes will not be unveiled before the Final of Melodifestivalen 10 March 2018.

The Second Chance consisted of four duels, where the winner of each duel qualified to the final:

The duels were not based on a random draw but were decided by SVT.

The format for Melodifestivalen 2018 is the same as last year: Each of the 4 heats qualified 2 songs directly to the final. Each of the 4 heats qualified 2 songs to the "second chance"-show. In the "second chance" 4 songs were selected for the final.
Host of all the shows are David Lindgren.

They came last two times (1963 and 1977), and since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004 Sweden managed to qualify for the Grand Final 13 out of 14 times! (only skipped the qualification in 2010).
