Sweden Melodifestivalen 2019: Bishara and John Lundvik to the final

Tonight the fourth heat of Melodifestivalen 2019 took place in Lidköping, Sweden. Seven acts performed live, and two songs qualified directly to the final: Bishara with 'On My Own' and John Lundvik with 'Too Late for Love'. The lineup for next Saturday's "second chance" is complete

Tonight the fourth and final deltävling (heat) took place in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2019. Seven songs were performed and two winners qualified directly for the final: Bishara and John Lundvik and two acts for the "second chance" on next Saturday: Lisa Ajax and Arvingarna.

The fourth deltävling was held in Sparbanken Lidköping Arena in Lidköping. The arena also hosted the "second chance" of Melodifestivalen 2014.

Like the previous years the votes will not be unveiled before the Final of Melodifestivalen 9 March 2019.

The Second Chance will consist of four duels, where the winner of each duel will qualify to the final:

  • Nano – "Chasing Rivers"

Duel 3:

  • Lisa Ajax – "Torn"

Duel 4:

  • Rebecka Karlsson – "Who I Am"
  • Arvingarna – "I Do"

Melodifestivalen 2019

  • 2 February: Deltävling 1 (Gothenburg)
  • 9 February: Deltävling 2 (Malmö)
  • 16 February: Deltävling 3 (Leksand)
  • 23 February: Deltävling 4 (Lidköping)
  • 2 March: Second Chance (Nyköping)
  • 9 March: Final (Stockholm)

The format for Melodifestivalen 2019 is the same as last year: Each of the 4 heats qualifies 2 songs directly to the final Each of the 4 heats qualifies 2 songs to the "second chance"-show. In the "second chance" 4 songs will be selected for the final.

Hosts of the shows are Eric Saade, Sarah Dawn Finer, Marika Carlsson and Kodjo Akolor.

They came last two times (1963 and 1977), and since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004 Sweden managed to qualify for the Grand Final 14 out of 15 times! (only skipped the qualification in 2010)
