After Eurovision 2020 was cancelled, the Austrian national broadcaster ORF announced that Vincent Bueno will get another chance for representing Austria at Eurovision Song Contest.

Vincent was internally selected by the Austrian broadcaster ORF in 2020 and should have represented Austria at the cancelled Eurovision 2020 with the song "Alive".

Now Vincent is back and has released his song for Eurovision 2021: "Amen". The song premiered on the Austrian radio morning show Ö3-Wecker, and shortly after released on YouTube:

Austria 2021: Vincent Bueno - "Amen"

Amen

The Austrian entry has quite an international presence team. Swiss producer Pele Loriano has co-produced the song as well as providing backing vocals. Pele has substantial experience with both Eurovision and the former Swiss national final. He recently co-wrote Jurij Veklenko's "Run With the Lions". Vincent describes Pele as “The one who pushed me to my limits.”

The main producer of the song is the iconic Swedish producer Jonas Thander with lyrics and melody by another Eurovision national final regular, the UK songwriter Ashley Hicklin.

Vincent's staging at Eurovision 2021 will be choreographed by the Austrian creative producer Marvin Dietmann. Marvin was behind the staging for Conchita in 2014 with "Rise Like a Phoenix" and Cesár’s spaceship in 2018 with "Nobody But You". He will also be doing the staging for Cyprus act Elena Tsagrinou's "El Diablo" this year.

Vincent says:

– We have used the past year professionally to find the perfect song at national and international level and among my own songs - and in the end we were sure that Amen is exactly that song. The song found me.

– At first glance it's about a dramatic relationship story, but for me it's primarily about this inner struggle with your own strengths and weaknesses, that everyone knows, which leads to a bright future.
