Finalists chosen for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Thursday, the 22 finalists battled it out on stage for a spot in the MESC 2022 Final, and Friday, the first 16 finalists were announced. A new round of voting awarded one more artist a wildcard for the Final

After the absence of four years in Malta of having a National Final, this year the national broadcaster (PBS) decided to revive it as a mechanism to choose the next Maltese representative.

A number of 22 songs competed in Thursday's Semi-final as 16 songs made it through the scheduled Final due Saturday, 19 February 2022.

However one of the artists who didn't made it, still had a chance as the Maltese public could vote on the six non-qualifiers for one wildcard. Here, Jessica Muscat won the wildcard round, and qualified for the Final.
